On Sunday, October 3rd, the Fundraising Committee of St. George's, with Parish Council and Executive, launched the "Reach for the STARS" Fundraising Campaign for our Church. The goal is to raise $65,000 through pledges and donations between October, 2010 and December, 2012 , for much-needed expenditures (see above) which are not covered by our normal budget. An explanatory "Reach for the STARS" brochure and pledge form was distributed in parishioner's mailboxes in the church, and is available here STARS Pledge Form (please print and submit paper copy).
We are asking that all parishioners complete the pledge card in the brochure, insert it into an envelope, and return it to the Church Office personally or by mail by October 31st.
If you would prefer to begin convenient "auto-debit" donations to support "STARS" (or for regular donations), the forms are available through the Office.
Questions about the campaign can be directed to the Fundraising Committee through "STARS" Campaign Chair Paul Thomas, any Warden, Property & Maintenance Committee Chair Murray Gamble, or Fr. Don. More information and status reports will be forthcoming.
The intent of this initiative is not to disrupt the normal givings in support of the Budget as we still need your support in reaching our Budget by December, 2010, nor is it to disrupt any of the usual present and future ongoing fundraising and outreach within our Parish. The purpose is to establish a focus and campaign for items requiring serious attention but not listed through our regular budget process.

STARS “ Buy A Ceiling Tile” fundraising…Goal Accomplished!!
As per my announcement at the services last Sunday, we have sold all 225 tiles on the poster thanks to the generous contributions of the congregation over the past 2 months. This initiative raised over $2,100 to help go towards the cost of renovating Thompson Hall.
As promised at the beginning of this part of the campaign, we also had a draw for a couple of gift certificates…Thanks to Fr. Don for getting them. There were 3 gift certificates and the winners are:
