Family Games Night

It's time for another round of family games for ages 0-100+. Everyone is welcome to bring a game or try one of ours. We will be in Thompson Hall from 4:30-8:30pm on Saturday December 6th, with pizza about 6pm.

Christmas Dinner at St. John's Kitchen
Advance Notice

Mark the date: we are preparing and serving Christmas dinner at St. John's Kitchen on Wednesday December 31st, 2008.

 

More details will be available in a few weeks. There will be lots of opportunities to help with this ministry.

 

Do you have experience preparing meals for 250 hungry people? If so, can you spare an hour or two to help us plan the menu? Please talk to Margaret Walker or leave your name and phone number at the church office.

Weekly Bible Study

Everyone is invited to join us Thursday evenings as we meet to read and discuss the Bible readings for the upcoming Sunday. We meet at 8:00 pm, in the Fireside Room. All are welcome, no experience required and no registration required!  Margaret Walker is the leader for this group.

As in past years, we will need YOUR help! We need donations of baking, books etc. and full bottles (preserves are good). If you have old linens, fine china and glass, vases or figurines that are in great shape, please bring them to the church NO LATER than NOV 2. Any unsold treasures will be donated to a charity. There will be a special shopping area for kids as well as some cool activities. Watch for our bulletin board in early November.

Kitchener-Waterloo Ecumenical Services with Taizé Song

The following ecumenical services are open to anyone. They are hosted by various churches throughout Kitchener-Waterloo and the surrounding area. The services are simple, comprised primarily of meditative music, prayer and silence. More information about Taizé can be found on their website www.taize.fr/en
